Hog Roast Albrighton is ran by catering duo Dave and Joe, a father and son-in-law team. As well as running amazing events for Hog Roast Albrighton, Dave owns a rather successful butchers’ shop which is at the heart of their lovely village. They supplied hog roasts and buffet menus to local residents from their butchers’ shop before taking on the Hog Roast Albrighton franchise four years ago. These two are guaranteed to produce amazingly tasty food with the best and highest quality cuts of meat from their shop.
Where has been your favourite venue so far?
Joe – Joe enjoyed catering at Donnington Racetrack for Mercedes trucks, he served them in their VIP marquee looking over the track. He had one of the best views!
Dave – Dave served on a beach in Pembrokeshire overlooking the sea, watching the waves rolling in and enjoying the sunshine beating down – beautiful!
If you were a customer, which menu would you choose?
Both Joe and Dave would choose the Southern-Slow Roast because of the variety of flavours and choices you get with it. They would opt for the BBQ beef brisket, BBQ spareribs and BBQ pulled pork – all as equally succulent as the other, completely tender that just falls apart in the mouth. To accompany the meats, they would choose homemade crunchy coleslaw, tomato and mozzarella salad, seasonal green leaf salad and potato wedges. Sounds amazing!
Have you ever had any unusual requests?
To serve at the top of a tower block, all the equipment had to be taken up via the lift which was interesting! Thankfully, everything went smoothly, and the clients thoroughly enjoyed it.
Have you got any memorable events?
A few years ago, Dave did a charity event in Wales, the people were walking to raise money for a little girl who was suffering from a brain tumour. It was an honour to be part of such an inspiring event. The event even aired on TV with a wave from Dave for the cameras!
