Whether you’ve been married for one year or ten, the day of your wedding anniversary is a massively important life event. Not only does it provide the perfect opportunity to reflect on one of the biggest milestones of your life and how far you’ve come as a couple, but it further reminds us to pause our busy schedules for a moment and appreciate what’s most important to us.
No one understands the importance of commemorating these special occasions better than our Hog Roast Brosley team, and as Shropshire’s number one mobile catering service, we are often invited to help couples celebrate their nuptials and subsequent anniversaries. Most recently, our team at head office was contacted by Jeff, who had called to enquire about our services ahead of his own wedding anniversary!
Having gotten married to his wife, Charlotte, on Halloween night seven years ago, the client was keen to plan a surprise autumnal celebration, complete with Jack O’Lanterns, hay bales and even a haunted house as a homage to their spooky wedding. He has already gotten several of the couple’s original guests on board, as well as some newer friends and family members, taking the guest list total up to 75 people. What he needed from us was the perfect menu plan to make the day that extra bit special – and we certainly didn’t disappoint!
Determined to bring the client’s vision to life, Hog Roast Brosley’s catering manager, Dave, assisted by his son-in-law Joe, had worked closely with Jeff to come up with the ideal solution, which, in the end, everyone agreed would be our Southern Slow Roast Menu. Offering a mouth-watering selection of slow-roasted meats, tasty sides, a meat-free alternative, and on this occasion, a delicious dessert of dark chocolate torte with a light and crispy base, this Deep South inspired spread was everything Jeff had been searching for!
Thanks to Jeff and Hog Roast Brosley’s ninja-like stealth and expert secret-keeping skills, Charlotte is still none the wiser to her hubby’s plans, and as the time to celebrate nears, we’re growing more and more excited to see her reaction when the treat is revealed!
