Hog Roast Ludlow’s catering managers, Dave and Joe, are renowned for their unwavering dedication to making every event truly unforgettable. And recently, they had the honour of contributing to Eloise’s 21st birthday celebration, transforming her dreams of a glamorous masquerade ball into a reality.
From the outset, Eloise envisioned a night of grandeur, complete with intricate costumes, lively music, dancing, and exquisite cuisine. Hog Roast Ludlow eagerly stepped in to assist, guiding Eloise through every step of the booking process, ensuring a seamless experience for the young hostess.
On the date of the event, our team arrived at the venue well in advance, meticulously preparing for the feast to come. The chosen menu of the evening was our Alfresco Menu, featuring a traditional hog roast, which Dave and Joe expertly prepared and slow-roasted over real flames until it reached perfection. This striking dish reflected the theatrical ambience of the masquerade ball.
In addition to the show-stopping hog roast, our culinary wizards, Dave and Joe, crafted a delectable array of vegan alternatives and sides. Guests were invited to indulge in BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls accompanied by crunchy ‘slaw, farm-fresh salads, and roasted new potatoes seasoned with garlic and rosemary.
To elevate the experience, Italian charcuterie boards centred each table, featuring cold-cut meats, fine cheeses, artisan bread, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. And rounding off this beautiful banquet, desserts of cheesecake and chocolate torte were presented as a buffet.
As the guests arrived in their finest ballroom attire, they were captivated by the venue, beautifully decorated to match the enchanting masquerade theme. Shortly after their arrival, the mesmerising sight of the hog roast being carved unfolded before the guests’ eyes. The crispy skin, meticulously separated from the tender meat, was artfully presented on soft rolls, accompanied by applesauce and stuffing, creating a symphony of flavours that delighted every palate.
The night wore on, the revelry continuing until the early hours of the morning. Tradition dictated that at midnight, masks were removed, revealing smiles of contentment and joy. Meanwhile, Hog Roast Ludlow seamlessly tidied away the remnants of the feast, allowing the guests to revel in the magical atmosphere they had created, making Eloise’s 21st birthday a truly enchanting and unforgettable experience.
