This August, Helena is set to graduate from university as a doctor, after many years of hard work and dedication. This is an amazing achievement, which is why her parents are hosting a surprise graduation party to celebrate. The party will take place at their home in Shropshire, with 70 friends and family invited to join in with the celebrations. Additionally, Hog Roast Ellesmere has been hired to cater for the occasion, with our catering manager Joe serving a classic hog roast for the guests to enjoy. This is a versatile and popular menu that is sure to go down a treat!
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Ellesmere team will arrive at the private venue in the morning and catering manager Joe will get to work on setting up our catering station. We will start our prep by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook for around five hours. Once the succulent pork is packed full of natural juices and flavours, it will be expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls and wraps, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be serving BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a tasty plant-based option that always goes down well. The main dishes will be served with homemade chips, sweet potato fries, gourmet coleslaw, and a green leaf salad, which will ensure that our menu is varied and delicious.
