Hog Roast Shrewsbury – Helping Get the New Hospital Wing Set Up with Our Catering

Hog Roast ShrewsburyIf you have passed by Shrewsbury Hospital of late you will no doubt see that a massive new wing is currently being built. The new modern wing is slated to arrive in 2028, which means there is a tonne of work to be done from now until then.

That means plenty of hungry work for the construction workers on site for the next 3 years. To help them get through it, the Hog Roast Shrewsbury team joined them on site a few weeks ago to cater for them all during a very busy Thursday lunchtime.

For a hungry workforce a hog roast is just the thing needed to lift spirits and get the energy levels back up. All that delicious, crispy and tender roasted pork is just the thing to keep strength levels up, and you could tell that the construction workers on the hospital site were very grateful to see the Hog Roast Shrewsbury team prepping a massive feast. Catering manager Steve figured that the lads and lasses on-site would need as much fuelling as possible, so one hog roast was cooked up along with plenty more accompaniments – including our golden crackling, sage and onion stuffing, and homemade apple sauce –  to ensure that seconds or even thirds could be viable for our hungry guests.Hog Roast Shrewsbury

Joining our hog roast was a veggie alternative of our grilled halloumi and veg skewers. A good helping of freshly made fries were also on offer as a side accompaniment along with an added whole roasted salmon just to help increase those energy levels even more. The construction workers could then also help themselves to plenty of refreshing salads, slaws, and our Sauce Shop selection of sauces so that they could even more flavour to each roll and wrap.

The whole Hog Roast Shrewsbury team really enjoyed being on the work site with our guests. It was great to see and hear all about the new development in Shrewsbury and how it was coming along, and also to give the busy workers a brief reprieve and rest just to chat and enjoy some time together away from the busy grind. We’ll happily come back anytime again all the way to 2028!
