The hard working employees at Engineers Mate deserve a lot more than a meal deal or a vending machine snack and swapped their regular lunches for a flavour filled Hog Roast on 30th October. With a serve time of 11:30am, the unmistakable aroma of our signature Hog Roast filled the work place at Kingsbury Road. Whilst the team were hard at work throughout their morning shift, our catering team led by Dave began prepping a delicious feast.
This wasn’t your average lunch time buffet, it was a bespoke BBQ menu that had something for everyone involved. The grill was stacked high with sizzling burgers, sausages and tender marinated chicken thighs, made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. For the veggie lovers, there was also a vegetarian burger option, which meant no one missed out. The sides perfectly complemented the mains, from crispy leaf salad, herby new potatoes to creamy coleslaw and fresh bread rolls and wraps, guests could build their perfect plate however they liked.
All of the food was served up on bamboo crockery, meaning the employees could sit back and relax or mingle with their colleagues. Of course, no BBQ is complete without something to wash it all down with, which is why each guest could also enjoy one soft drink to round off their meal.
Hog Roast Coldfield specialise in bringing people together over great conversation and even better food, which is exactly what we achieved with this event. The staff at Engineers Mate wanted to treat their hardworking team, so we knew we had to deliver and create an afternoon that the business will be talking about for months to come.
Our catering manager, Dave, ensured that the event ran smoothly and took any pressure off the staff so that everyone could enjoy their lunch, exactly as intended. Hog Roast Coldfield loved being a part of an afternoon of laughter and a shared sense of teamwork. It was proof that a well-planned lunchbreak, great company and a tasty BBQ could turn an ordinary work day into something special.
