Just because the summer is gone doesn’t mean that the summer vibes quite are yet. If there is one thing that we can keep going for as long as the sun is out and the temperatures are up, it’s a classic barbecue. A must of any British summer, at Hog Roast Shrewsbury we have always been big fans of the classic British barbie, so much so that we went ahead and crafted our very own gourmet take just for weddings.
As a roast catering specialist, we have always viewed the barbecue as a close related cousin of the roast. Both are about comfort, both are about delicious meats, both are perfect on a summer’s day just as much as they are a high-end wedding. Our gourmet BBQ menu brings together the classics of the British barbecue along with our unique additions and approaches. Take our burgers and sausages as an example: each is handmade with quality meats and gourmet ingredients for even greater flavours than anything you’ll get out of the supermarket. As for our other additions? Try our spiced Thai chicken kebabs, our marinated meaty ribs, or indeed our signature pulled pork made fresh from an authentic hog roast.
For testament of just how good our barbecue is, even in September, you’d need only ask Darrel, Sam, and their lovely wedding guests as this past weekend the Hog Roast Shrewsbury team brought our gourmet barbecue to their special day. The summer vibes were alive and well for their wedding celebrations, meaning our barbecue range ended up being the perfect menu for all 60 guests to enjoy. Many couldn’t quite get enough of our burgers and sausages, queuing up for seconds and in many instances thirds for as long as there was still meat on the grill. Guests also couldn’t get enough of head chef Dave’s special pasta salad, nor our creamy slaw or our sweet and regular potato fries.
