In the week before Christmas, the Hog Roast Bicton team catered for a wonderful event at a community centre in Shropshire. Our team was hired earlier in 2023 to provide a delicious festive buffet for 150 guests to enjoy, including people of all ages and several meat-free guests. Our catering manager Dave was happy to get involved since this festive event was sure to be a lot of fun! Alongside the catering, guests would be exchanging gifts, enjoying Christmas music, and putting the final decorations on the community Christmas tree. This was set to be the perfect event for getting into the festive spirit and the Hog Roast Bicton team was looking forward to being a part of it!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Bicton team arrived at the community centre and began to prepare for the 3:00pm serving time. We began by whole-roasting the turkeys and ensuring that they were cooked to perfection and packed full of natural juices before being carved. For meat-free guests, we provided a delicious vegetarian roast. The main dishes were accompanied by a selection of traditional sides, including pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese, roasted baby potatoes, glazed sprouts and carrots, and fresh green beans. Our menu was served buffet style, allowing every guest to choose which dishes they wanted to eat. This meant that everyone could enjoy their perfect plate, with plenty left over for seconds! Overall, Hog Roast Bicton’s catering was a great addition to this event and was the perfect way to get into the festive spirit in the lead-up to Christmas.
