Jack and his friendship group first met over twenty years ago at secondary school and have been friends ever since. They have seen each other through university, new jobs, promotions, new children, and new houses and have only grown closer! However, they have noticed that it is harder than ever to find time to meet up now that they each have their own commitments, so they try to make an occasion out of each time they are free. This autumn, Jack planned to host a dinner party for the group of 15, with catering served by Hog Roast Grinshill. This would leave them free to chat and catch up, while still enjoying a delicious meal. Our catering manager Dave was more than happy to get involved and had a great menu for the occasion.
For the menu, the Hog Roast Grinshill team planned to serve our classic hog-roast menu, as this is ideal for a group of 15 in need of a hearty meal. We served delicious sliced pork, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, crispy crackling, and fresh bread rolls. The mains were also served with homemade chips and seasonal salad dishes to create a varied and delicious meal. After the main meal had been enjoyed, we also served profiteroles and sticky toffee pudding, as a great way to end the meal. The desserts went down a treat and were a great addition to the menu.
