What are two great things that go together to become perfect? Well a reason for a party and a barbecue, of course.
And what better an excuse for a party than a new home. Tina, our featured customer of a few weeks ago, just recently moved into her new home here in Newport, and as with any new home it first has to be properly warmed. So, friends and family were invited over on the weekend of the 11th were the Hog Roast Newport team also awaited with a bespoke BBQ menu to get things really sizzling and warm.
A barbecue is just perfect for this time of year. The second the sun comes out here in the UK everyone’s first thought is a barbecue. We are fortunate enough to have our very own special gourmet BBQ range here at Hog Roast Newport. It was this that Tina used as the foundation for her bespoke catering menu, picking out some of her favourite dishes from the range and combining them with a few other exciting choices. The final result was a menu that she could truly call her own, to served in her own house, and one which certainly went down a treat with the 50 guests in attendance.
For our main barbecue options: sticky pork ribs and marinated chicken thighs, well-fired on our mobile roasting machine turned top-end barbecue for the day. For the kids, butcher’s sausages made from fresh, high-quality local meats. And as a veggie option, our grilled veg and halloumi skewers served with tzatziki and a sweet chilli dip. But it is in the side accompaniments that Tina’s bespoke menu really came to the fore, as guests could pile their plates high with our creamy slaw, refreshing Greek salad, fries, our chef’s own pesto pasta salad, gluten-free rolls, and a selection of our Sauce Shop sauces.
If ever a new house was warmed it was this one. Sizzling delights, a great sunny day, and 50 friends and family members to join along for the whole thing. The Hog Roast Newport team can only further thank Tina for having us along to cater for such a wonderful occasion!
