With a keen eye for detail, and an unwavering ability to cook up a mean roast that is guaranteed to go down well with the whole family, Hog Roast Telford are always snowed under with bookings – but you won’t catch us complaining! Our team loves nothing more than turning events into special occasions that our clients will be able to look back on fondly for the rest of their lives, and recently they were called in to help one celebrant throw their first-ever grown-up birthday party in honour of their 18th at the elegant 18th century listed building, Milton Manor.
Placed in charge of the event was our catering management duo, Dave and Joe, who arranged an initial sit-down with the client where they discussed our range of catering packages, bespoke menu options and budgets until it was finally decided that our signature southern slow roast menu would offer the perfect variety for the 30 individuals set to attend the monumental do. The client and their parents were so happy with how easy it was to place a booking with Hog Roast Telford, which only fuelled their excitement for the big day – which luckily for them, was just around the corner!
Following a relaxing start to the day, Hog Roast Telford made the two-hour journey to the venue where they promptly set up the marquee which they decked out with balloons and fairy lights before pitching the catering gazebo and launching themselves into preparing the late-evening feast. Soon, the buffet of Texan 24 hour beef brisket, cajun spiced whole roast chickens, BBQ pork butt, 100% beef handmade burgers and gourmet sausages was complete; and among the succulent meat options was a selection of scrumptious side dishes including Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, colourful salads, couscous and golden fries.
The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as the guests began to arrive and almost immediately their attention was captured by the mouth-watering scents coming from the buffet table. Eager to tuck in, they each collected one of our eco-friendly wooden plates and matching cutlery before taking a seat around the burning fire pit and polishing off their first course before returning to the gazebo for second helpings of the delicious grub.
