Pelsall Cricket & Sports Club recently hosted their much-anticipated end-of-year party, and by all accounts, it was a night to remember thanks to the meticulous planning of committee member Marie! Known for orchestrating unforgettable functions, Marie went above and beyond this year by enlisting the expertise of the culinary maestros here at Hog Roast Walsall.
Our catering manager, Joe, crafted a feast that left the 100 guests buzzing. The Southern Slow Roast Menu stole everyone’s attention with its mouth-watering selection of dishes that catered to every palate. The Texan 24-hour beef brisket, Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens, and fall-off-the-bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs were a meat lover’s dream come true. While those opting for a plant-based alternative, were delighted with our vegan option of BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls.
Hog Roast Walsall ensured the buffet was a visual and gastronomic delight, with mixed sweet potato and regular fries, Greek salad, coleslaw, and gluten-free rolls complementing the main dishes. To minimise our environmental impact, we proudly utilised planet-friendly wooden crockery and cutlery, aligning with our commitment to sustainability.
As soon as Hog Roast Walsall announced the buffet was open for business, the hungry guests wasted no time piling their plates high with the diverse array of dishes. From the rich, smoky notes of the beef brisket to the zesty kick of the Cajun-spiced chicken, every bite was a firework of flavours.
Not a single morsel went to waste as the crowd returned for seconds, and even thirds, until the serving trays were left gleaming; picked clean by the satisfied guests. But our team wasn’t finished just yet!
The grand finale came in the form of decadent profiteroles and our dreamy handmade cheesecakes, which provided a sweet conclusion to an evening. Just like the savoury dishes, these indulgent desserts disappeared in the blink of an eye, leaving everyone with satiated palates and smiling from ear to ear.
