If there is one thing the summer is for, it is for barbecues in the garden. Not that you ever really need an excuse to get a barbecue going whenever the sun comes out in the UK, but our featured customer of this week at Hog Roast Whitchurch had a perfect one all the same.
Enjoying his 80th birthday celebration, Whitchurch resident Michael went all out with the celebrations by having 70 guests round for an excellent party in his sunny garden. Already having the guests, the sun, the garden, all that was missing to top off this celebration was the barbecue – which is where Hog Roast Whitchurch comes in!
Renowned for our catered hog roasts, head chef Dave and the Hog Roast Whitchurch are experts in all things meat and roasting and grilling. That just so happens to cover one of the very best British summer pastimes, the barbecue! Our own take on the classic British barbecue, like everything we do, searches a little outside the boxes to further twist an excellent formula to make it more unique, tastier, and certainly more stylish.
What we have come up with over the last few decades is our gourmet barbecue range, which combines your classic BBQ faves with a few more unique additions, all made in the staple Hog Roast Whitchurch style. This means your typical burgers and sausages get a slightly new look, as we handmake them gourmet style from the best home grown meats in the UK. As for your other options, will simply ask Michael and co what they made of our brilliant Thai chicken kebabs to see exactly how exciting our gourmet range can get!
But our menu didn’t end there. For veggie guests at the party, some vegetarian sausages and our light and refreshing grilled veg and halloumi skewers, complete with sweet chilli sauce and tzatziki dip. To cool the party down some more on what was a hot weekend leading into this week’s record breaking UK heatwave, a cooling Greek salad side, creamy slaw, and herb dressed new potatoes.
We found this to be just a perfect menu for the occasion, and judging by the very few leftovers at the end of the evening, the party seemed to think so too!
