In May, Hog Roast Colwyn Bay catered for a children’s birthday party using our delicious classic hog roast menu. The event was organised by Gemma, who was celebrating her daughter’s 4th birthday. The party was going to be extra special as her daughter was able to invite all of her new friends from school, so everyone was eager for the event to take place. Gemma contacted our catering manager Joe to arrange a menu for the occasion, which needed to be a buffet that is suitable for 30 guests and include a meat-free option. It was decided that our classic hog roast would be ideal, alongside a few additional dishes to ensure that there is something for every guest to enjoy.
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Colwyn Bay team arrived at Trallwyn Farm with plenty of time to prepare the lunch before the 14:00 serving time. We began by slow-roasting the hog and preparing the vegetable and halloumi skewers for meat-free guests. Once the pork was ready, it was expertly carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. The mains were accompanied by a green leaf salad and gourmet coleslaw to create a filling and nutritious lunch. The Hog Roast Colwyn Bay team loved being a part of this special birthday party and it was great to see our menu going down so well!
