Moving home is ranked as one of the most stressful experiences people will come across in life and it is not surprising. There is always so much to do and seemingly never enough time that when things are finally sorted it is cause for a celebration. Hog Roast Donington were recently asked to come and provide the catering for a housewarming party for our client Moira and we couldn’t wait to help her settle into her new home!
When we arrived at Moira’s home mid-afternoon the first thing we did was compliment her on her new house. Having shown us before and after photos we were impressed by the work she had done to get her home exactly how she wanted it and now she was ready to invite her friends and family over to see what she had done with the place.
Moira was expecting around one hundred guests and had been looking for some hearty food to really make people feel at home. After browsing our Hog Roast Donington menus she selected our southern slow roast menu for its variety and diverse flavours and we reassured her that this menu would not disappoint. Catering managers Dave and Joe worked tirelessly in the preparations to ensure all the food would be ready by the serve time of 8pm.
With a menu consisting of our BBQ Pork Butt, Beef Brisket and Cajun Spiced Whole Roast Chickens along with Coleslaw, Greek Salad, Corn Cobettes and Green Leaf Salad people were sure to be able to find something they loved to eat. For the vegetarians we created our classic grilled vegetable and haloumi skewers which we also had without the cheese for our vegan guests.
Once everyone had arrived Moira was kept busy giving people tours of her home and so we worked to entertain the guests with our Hog Roast Donington food so that everyone could enjoy the party…
