It’s always sad having to say farewell to a much loved member of staff, but the latest clients of Hog Roast Pwllheli had a superb idea on how to say a loving, fond goodbye to their most cherished and longest serving member of the team. The garden centre management wanted to throw a special retirement party for their hard working colleague, and the Hog Roast Pwllheli team thought it was a wonderful event to be asked to cater for.
The clients wanted the menu to be based around a Classic Hog Roast: this consists of a sizzling slow roasted pig that is served with a delicious crispy crackling, homemade stuffing and tangy apple sauce. But they also wanted to add a few additions to this generic menu option to make sure that there would be plenty of variety for the retirement party guests. The team were ready and worked hard to customise the menu as they know the personal touch is what makes each event so special and events like this are very special indeed. The clients wanted their 80 staff and guests to have plenty to eat with their Classic Hog Roast, so the team also added a fresh Caesar salad, piping hot jacket wedges and succulent grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers to the already delicious menu.
All of these tasty treats would be served on high quality disposable crockery and cutlery that the Hog Roast Pwllheli team would both provide and then take away at the end of the event to dispose of responsibly. The food would all be prepared and cooked on site in the hours leading up to the event, which is something that the clients loved the idea of as it added a pleasant, unique feature to the celebration. The Chef was only too happy to work for an audience and answer any questions that the guests had.
Even though the event was a beautifully bittersweet farewell party the clients were absolutely delighted by the teams’ hard work. The clients and their guests thoroughly enjoyed their Hog Roast experience.
