Belated VE Day celebrations in Hog Roast Borth

While socially distanced VE Day street parties took place in Hog Roast Borth, the community felt that something was missing! With the government mandated lockdown finally eased, it was time to carry out the VE Day party everyone had dreamed of.

Hog Roast BorthA helpful team of organised residents arranged a belated VE Day community party, with dancing, music and a hog roast! While the hog roast is the star of the menu, the community needed an inclusive menu that would appeal to everyone. That’s why Hog Roast Borth was the perfection option. We supplied food to meet all dietary requirements or preferences (including vegetarian and gluten free!).

Given the current circumstances, COVID-19 safety was key and at the forefront of everyone’s mind. The team at Hog Roast TOWN did all that was required to keep the community safe, including wearing the required PPE, adhering to social distancing rules and keeping a sanitary work station. This put everyone’s mind at ease, which allowed the community to enjoy the party!

The menu arrived exactly when the community required, and was a perfect way to bring everyone together – because what appeals to all ages the same way that good food does! The guests happily filled their plates with the hog roast, stuffing, rolls and all the trimmings.

While the community continued with the party, remembering the events that took place on VE Day 75 years ago, our team at Hog Roast Borth got to work on packing away the set up. This took place seamlessly, while the community continued to celebrate together. The only thing the team didn’t pack away was the leftovers, which were left on trays for the community to take home!

Without the team from Hog Roast Borth, the party would not have ran so smoothly- or tasted as good! The meal was the perfect way to bring the community together, providing fresh food for everyone to enjoy.
