Hog Roast Llanidloes’s latest event was supposed to be just a simple family party, but it turned into so much more when the Clients became engaged at the party, while surrounded by their family! Client Jack surprised everyone, but most especially his partner Millie, when he took the opportunity to propose. This was without a doubt one of Chef Dave’s most memorable events to be a part of.
Clients Millie and Jack worked closely with the Hog Roast Llanidloes team to put together a tasty mid-afternoon meal for their 25 guests. The couple were keen that there should be lots of tasty food for their families to enjoy, so they chose a luxurious menu for their family gathering.
The main attraction at the serving table was Sirloin of Roast Beef, served with Yorkshire puddings, horseradish sauce and a homemade red wine gravy. There was of course also a delicious vegetarian option on offer, which was succulent roast salmon. Along with those dishes there were large platters of piping hot seasonal vegetables and a mountain of roasted new potatoes in sea salt and rosemary. The whole menu was one of elegance and luxury, Clients Millie and Jack were determined to give their guests a good hearty meal.
In order to create this delicious buffet for the gathering, Chef Dave from the Hog Roast Llanidloes team arrived at the secluded cabin location several hours prior to the 3pm serving time. This allowed him enough time to set up the cooking equipment in the cosy venue and get to work on preparing the dishes.
Catering Manager Dave worked wonders, so that when Clients Millie and Jack led their guests to the serving table the food was ready to be enjoyed. It wasn’t long before the food was all gone and Chef Dave could quietly and discreetly tidy away. It was as he was gathering the Hog Roast Llanidloes china crockery and cutlery that he watched as Jack and Millie had their special moment.
The whole event was rather magical. The Clients were over the moon with Dave’s hard work and thanked the whole team for making their event so special.
