Corporate catering makes up a fair chunk of Hog Roast Nantwich’s catering calendar, but around the festive period there’s a significant increase as bosses want to reward their workers for a good year with a delicious Christmas dinner. The teams latest Client, kind boss Ron, was no exception.
Client Ron wanted a hearty lunchtime buffet for his staff of factory workers. So he worked with the Hog Roast Nantwich team to put together a menu that met his requirements.
The Hog Roast Nantwich team would not only provide a Chef to Cooke the food fresh on site, but also provided cutlery and crockery for the 40 guests to use. Client Ron was also pleased when as part of the catering package all the rubbish would be disposed of by the team, leaving his workers able to return to work straight after their delicious midday dinner.
Chef Dave from the Hog Roast Nantwich team and his son in law Joe who worked with him, arrived at the busy, bustling site several hours before the 12-12:30pm serving time. The experienced team worked together to create the buffet fresh from scratch, so that when the serving time rolled around every dish was freshly made and piping hot- ready to be enjoyed.
The guests eagerly tucked into the hearty buffet. The tasty treats included a Classic Hog Roast- this was made up of a expertly scored and sizzled slow spit roasted pig, crispy crackling, sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce. But of course there was also a vegetarian lasagne as an alternative, and a platter of grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers and BBQ pulled jackfruit. Alongside these treats there were platters of lovely and hot seasonal vegetables and a big platter of new potato salad. Finishing the buffet was a basket of assorted soft rolls and wraps, as well as a selection of sauces and dips.
The workers tucked into the food with gusto, and Chef Dave and his assistant Joe stayed on site the whole time to keep the food fresh and hot and help the guests to serve themselves.
Client Ron was incredibly pleased by Chef Dave and Joe’s hard work! The buffet had been everything that Client Ron had wanted, and his workers thoroughly enjoyed the hearty meal. Everything had gone very well indeed.
