Since the lockdown easing roadmap was revealed, our phones here at Hog Roast Market Drayton have been ringing off the hook, and our emails have been blowing up with requests for an all-manner of celebratory events, which is exactly what we wanted to see after what has been such a crazy year!
Most recently, we were contacted by mum-to-be Sophie, who, after entering her third trimester, wanted our help with organising a baby shower ahead of the birth. With 30 people allowed to attend the event, as per the rules from next month, Sophie and her significant other, Jake, spent a little while mulling over their options before finally deciding on our Gourmet BBQ menu for the occasion, which combines traditional grilled meat flavours with some freshly made salads and a vegetarian and vegan alternative.
Using locally-sourced, free-range produce, Hog Roast Market Drayton will hand prepare a collection of our 100% beef burgers, succulent chicken kebabs, meaty marinated spare ribs and our chefs own gourmet sausages, which will be paired with a selection of bread rolls and wraps and followed by cheese and jalapeno-smothered loaded fries with zesty coleslaw and a colourful bowl of Greek salad. For the three non-meat-eating guests who have confirmed their attendance, we will also be serving up our flavour-bursting BBQ pulled jackfruit buns with coleslaw and hickory sauce.
Sophie and Jake were also pleasantly surprised to hear that when the event comes to a close, the Hog Roast Market Drayton team will handle the cleanup of any waste. To do this, we discreetly bag up all of the rubbish left behind and dispose of it offsite, meaning our clients are never left with any mess, which we know can really sour the mood.
As usual, our catering manager, Dave and his son-in-law, Joe, were more than happy to answer every query the couple had before finalising their booking, which instantly put their minds at ease. So, now, all they’ve got to think about is counting down the days before they get to reunite with loved ones they haven’t seen in so long and celebrate the impending arrival of their firstborn!
