Last year, Hog Roast Shipton was contacted by Mark and Ebony, who had just gotten engaged and were looking for a reliable catering service to provide a top-notch feast at their engagement party.
As usual, our crew blew it out of the water with some insanely delicious flavours and an out-of-this-world presentation, which Mark and Ebony were so impressed by that they instantly decided to halt their search for a wedding caterer and hire us right away!
Everyone here at Hog Roast Shipton was honoured to be the couple’s first choice, and our catering managers, Dave and Joe, had a great time working with the couple and helping them choose the perfect menu for their big day. As lovers of the countryside, the pair had chosen an on-trend rustic theme for their wedding, for which our Southern Slow Roast Menu fit the bill perfectly.
At the time, Dave and Joe had also offered to handle the venue on the couple’s behalf, as Hog Roast Shipton is proudly associated with several of Shropshire’s top event sites. Mark and Ebony were delighted to hear this, and after taking a look at our list of partner venues, they had asked us to secure a booking with Malt House Barn – a gorgeous converted barn set in the stunning Shropshire countryside with picture-perfect views and a tranquil atmosphere.
Fast forward several months to last Saturday, all of Mark and Ebony’s planning culminated in a gorgeous outdoor wedding, where they were surrounded by all of their favourite people! The venue, which had been decorated to suit the couple’s taste, looked absolutely stunning, and Hog Roast Shipton was pleased to present the group with a bountiful banquet of Cajun-spiced whole roast chicken, BBQ pork butt, fall-off-the-bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs, and BBQ pulled jackfruit buns with Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, potato salad, mixed fries and macaroni and cheese.
Once again, the food was a huge hit with Mark, Ebony and their families and friends, who looked like they were in food heaven! Hog Roast Shipton’s final task (before clearing away any mess), was to slice the couple’s wedding cake, which they served with fresh fruit and cream.
