On 10th August 2025, Hog Roast Nesscliffe had the pleasure of catering Julia’s birthday party at April Cottage in Nesscliffe, Shrewsbury. With 50 guests to serve, the day was all about creating a relaxed, enjoyable experience where everyone could focus on celebrating, laughing, and making memories.
The menu featured a whole roasted pig with golden crackling, accompanied by apple sauce, sage and onion stuffing, and a selection of fresh bread rolls and wraps, including gluten-free options. Guests could enjoy tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed salad, and coleslaw, along with their choice of herb-dressed new potatoes or freshly made chips and sweet potato fries with a variety of sauces. For vegetarian and vegan guests, our team provided delicious alternatives such as grilled vegetable skewers served with wraps and dips, or vegan pulled jackfruit in a bun with hickory BBQ sauce and crunchy slaw.
What truly set the day apart was the service. Catering manager Martin and the Hog Roast Nesscliffe team managed every detail, serving all dishes buffet-style on wooden disposable crockery with
matching cutlery. Guests were able to relax and enjoy themselves while our staff ensured the food was flowing smoothly, dietary needs were met, and everyone felt looked after throughout the celebration.
