Turning 21 is a big deal, and Scott’s milestone birthday deserved a celebration that was nothing short of epic. So when his mum and dad, Jackie and Peter, set out to throw him a bash to remember, they chose the perfect spot: a gorgeous golf resort just a stone’s throw from home. With calming ponds and lush greens as the backdrop, it was the ultimate setting for golf-mad Scott’s special day.
As luck would have it, the weather played along perfectly. With balmy temperatures and clear blue skies, the guests had full use of the stunning outdoor space. But, of course, a marquee was on standby just in case—because with British weather, you never really know!
Adding a tasty touch to this splendid celebration, Hog Roast Oswestry was delighted to serve our Southern Slow Roast Menu. Our catering manager, Joe, was on top form and delivered an outstanding feast that whisked everyone’s taste buds away to the Deep South.
Guests couldn’t get enough of the flavours on offer! The BBQ pork butt was so rich and meaty, it had the crowd raving. Then there were the Cajun-spiced whole roasted chickens—juicy, tender, and packed with flavour that no one could resist. And let’s not forget the Louisiana-style ribs—these babies were so tender, they fell right off the bone!
Now, you know us – we didn’t leave our vegetarian and vegan friends out in the cold! Our BBQ-pulled jackfruit buns, topped with plant-based coleslaw and slathered in hickory sauce, were so good they made even the meat-lovers think twice.
And for those who like their food with a bit of a kick, our smokey sweet BBQ glaze, legendary hickory bourbon BBQ sauce, and Cajun hot pepper sauce turned up the flavour dial to eleven.
Our sides were no slouches either—creamy mac and cheese, tangy potato salad with pickles, and perfectly seasoned sweet potato and traditional fries rounded out the meal. The guests weren’t just impressed—they were thrilled. The food was a hit, and Hog Roast Oswestry team’s friendly service made the experience even more special.
