The most wonderful time of the year is on the horizon, which also means the most hectic time of the year for Hog Roast Baschurch teams is also oncoming. We are prepped and ready for the Christmas season, however, just as we are every year at Hog Roast Baschurch.
To make sure that is and remains the case year on year, our Hog Roast Baschurch teams up and down the country are treated to a day of Refresher Winter Training. This is where we run a mock day of festive events for our chef teams to cook and our service team to serve, ensuring that everyone knows their roles, knows the foods, and knows just what is going to be in store for the busiest slate of events on the calendar. It is also a day where we run a quick refresh of our festive menu as well. This can mean a few things, whether it is improving on classic Christmas faves with slightly new ingredients or prep styles, or event trying out new dishes altogether to add to the incredible repertoire of Christmas dishes we have ready and waiting for you. You would think that you couldn’t get much better than the classic Christmas turkey already, but we’ve improved on it once before by utilising a rotisserie style of roasting – putting it akin to our staple hog roast in many more ways – and can likely do so again with the aid of our refresher training each year!
Our teams always enjoy these training days because it is exciting to re-up your skills and knowledge, and we have the added benefit of having a whole Christmas dinner left at the end of the day that just so happens to need eating!
