Laurence is a secretary at a local primary school and this Christmas he has been tasked with organising a Christmas party for the entire school staff to enjoy. For the event, he planned to use the school’s sports hall which had already been decorated with a Christmas tree and decorations created by the children. This would make for a perfect festive venue, and wouldn’t require any extra transport, making the event as stress-free for the teachers as possible. The guests will then be invited to listen to Christmas songs while enjoying a delicious meal and their share of some festive drinks! For the catering, Laurence contacted Hog Roast Ludlow and arranged for us to serve a classic hog roast to the guests, followed by a festive dessert course and mulled wine. This is a great menu for a festive event and is bound to go down a treat!
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Ludlow team arrived at the party with plenty of time to prepare for the 6:00pm mealtime. We began by preparing the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection before it was expertly carved by our chef. The sliced meat was then served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Alongside the main dishes, we also served homemade chips and a selection of salad dishes. Once the main course had been cleared away, the guests then enjoyed a dessert course of mince pies and warm brandy cream, followed by glasses of hot, alcoholic mulled wine.
