Lewis and his fiancé have been planning on hosting a rustic wedding ever since they got engaged 2 years ago. Unfortunately, they had to put their plans on hold due to the pandemic, but now they are more eager than ever to tie the knot! After looking at wedding caterers, Lewis contacted our catering manager Dave after seeing our alfresco menu online. He thought that this was ideal for his reception as it perfectly fitted the theme and was perfect for serving 60 guests. The Hog Roast Oswestry team was more than happy to get involved and be part of such a special day!
On the day of the wedding, the Hog Roast Oswestry team arrived at the venue, which was a beautiful barn conversion. Once our catering station was set up, we began by preparing the starters. The first course consisted of sharing platters, including a selection of gourmet cheeses and sliced meats, as well as fresh salad and bread. The platters were an excellent way to begin the menu and went down a treat.
Following the starters, we served a classic Hog Roast Oswestry main course. This meal included slow-roasted pork and all of the trimmings, served in fresh bread rolls. To create a varied meal, we also served a delicious variety of seasonal vegetables and roasted baby potatoes.
The menu ended with profiteroles and summer pudding, which excellently complemented the wedding cake provided by the couple.
