For Jason and Ellie’s 30th wedding anniversary, the couple wanted to enjoy a meal with their friends and family at a venue close to their home in Shropshire. When planning the event, the pair knew that they wanted the evening to be luxurious yet enjoyable for guests of all ages, with entertainment that would be ideal for keeping everyone busy. They decided on hiring a DJ for the party, which would be a great way to spend the evening and would appeal to all of their guests. For the venue, they found a beautifully renovated barn on a local farmyard that was ideal for meeting their criteria! When it came to the catering, Hog Roast All Stretton was contacted and we discussed our selection of menus and catering styles. Our manager Dave wanted to make sure that the menu was perfect for the occasion, so we decided on providing a classic hog roast followed by a dessert course.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast All Stretton team arrived at the venue with plenty of time to prepare for the 7:00pm mealtime. We began by slow-roasting the hog, which needed around 5 hours to cook to perfection. The succulent pork was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing and homemade applesauce. We also prepared delicious pork sausages and homemade chips to ensure that there was something for everyone to enjoy. For the dessert course, we served profiteroles and sticky toffee pudding, which was a great way to end the menu! The dishes looked and tasted excellent and were a huge hit with the guests.
