This April, Hog Roast Rhayader catered at a joint birthday party for Peter’s daughter and wife. His wife was celebrating her 50th birthday, which is definitely a milestone to celebrate in style! Our catering manager Joe was asked to provide a delicious meal for their party, with plenty for 70 guests to enjoy. The menu needed to be a family-friendly buffet option to ensure that there was a dish for every guest to enjoy. This wasn’t a problem and Joe knew just the right menu for the occasion!
On the day of the event, the team arrived at the family home in Newton to begin preparing the catering. The meal was set to be served at 17:00, which gave Joe and his staff plenty of time to prepare and cook the dishes. Hog Roast Rhayader began by preparing the hog which needed to be slow roasted and cooked to perfection. Once juicy and tender, the meat was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, or a gluten-free alternative. For meat-free guests, grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers were also on offer. Alongside the main dishes, we also served crunchy coleslaw, mixed leaf salad, tomato and mozzarella salad, and homemade chips. Altogether, this created a delicious and varied menu, with the guests able to create a perfect meal from what we had to offer! Our catering went down a treat at this party and was the perfect addition to the day.
