For Expert Wedding Catering, Look No Further Than Hog Roast Llanymynech

Hog Roast Llanymynech was recently called in to assist with the wedding of high school sweethearts Matthew and Bella, who were finally able to tie the knot in a beautiful ceremony on Saturday afternoon after a 2-year-long engagement.

Their first wedding date, and the two they had set after that, had to be changed due to covid and its subsequent lockdown restrictions, so the pair had decided to plan their big day as far in advance as was possible at the time. Fortunately, the date-changing process was very simple for Matthew and Bella as they had chosen to book with one of our partner venues, with whom we can work closely to accommodate any adjustments that need to be made. It also meant that this event was highly anticipated by the guests, as they had all waited so long to witness the couple marry each other.

The good news is that Matthew and Bella’s big day was well worth the wait! The barn venue looked gorgeous on the day and had been decorated to match the couple’s pastel colour scheme with bunting, banners and celebratory balloons everywhere. There were also lanterns dotted around the space and string lights draped from the ceiling beams.

Hog Roast Llanymynech Our catering managers, Dave and Joe also delivered an exception menu plan that provided guests with an authentic hog roast experience. Featuring Hog Roast Llanymynech’s signature hog roast, which saw fork-tender shredded pork served on gluten-free and wholemeal rolls with sage and onion stuffing, crackling and a drizzle of applesauce, this tasty menu perfectly fit the rustic theme. To add more depth to the meal, the duo had also whipped up several bowls of salad, coleslaw and mixed fries for the guests to dig into.

The wedding party loved the food that was available, even the vegetarians and vegans who we treated to our grilled vegetable skewers with optional halloumi, flatbreads and a homemade tzatziki dip. After polishing off their plates, Hog Roast Llanymynech then treated everyone to our homemade mini cheesecakes and profiteroles followed by a slice of wedding cake, which they dressed in fresh cream and ripe berries.
