At Hog Roast Alberbury, we are firm believers that nothing is too much trouble for our clients, which is why our teams always strive to go above and beyond the call of duty, ensuring that the events we cater at exceed all expectations. So, needless to say, when our catering crews are faced with a challenge, they will always rise to the occasion!
In fact, just last weekend, our expert hog roasting duo, Dave and Joe encountered an obstacle of sorts when they arrived at one of their bookings! The pair had been asked to serve our classic hog roast feast at a client’s 60th birthday party, which was set to be attended by 50 people, all of whom were doormen. But this wasn’t like any other birthday bash Hog Roast Alberbury had handled before – this celebration was to take place on the client’s rooftop!
Yes, you guessed it. This meant our team had plenty of stairs to tackle with catering equipment, raw ingredients and not forgetting, a weighty pig! But once again our crew proved that no problem is too much for them to handle.
After making a few trips up and downstairs, Dave and Joe had managed to successfully transfer everything from the catering van to the rooftop. Thankfully, from then on, it was plain sailing, so they immediately got started on preparing the evening feast. On this occasion, the spectacular meal included several bowls of mixed salad with juicy tomatoes still on the vine, soft and floury gluten-free rolls and wraps, and savoury stuffing, which was centred by one of our famous crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside hog roasts.
As the serving time neared, so too did the completion of the feast, and with the arriving guests eager to get stuck in, the Hog Roast Alberbury team added the finishing touches to the buffet by slicing up fruit and setting out the sachets of individual condiments.
The guests seemed to really enjoy having an unusual view to complement their meal, and as the evening slowly crept in, everyone watched in amazement as the sun went down on Shropshire.
