Hog Roast Dyffryn Ardudwy: Children’s Birthday Party!

When it comes to planning a children’s birthday party, all parents are faced with one main dilemma: What should you serve? Though a traditional kids party platter, cheese and ham sandwiches with sides of packeted crisps or chocolate chip cookies just aren’t unique enough to keep the kids interested these days. But you also don’t want to go overboard and serve anything that’s too out there either, right?

Hog Roast Dyffryn ArdudwyIf you want our advice, we highly recommend treating the kids to a hog roast spread – especially one from Hog Roast Dyffryn Ardudwy. Though many might think of hog roasts as being an adult-focused meal, they are actually a fantastic food option that the whole family can appreciate and enjoy. Yes, even those fussy eaters just cannot resist our creations! Plus, since one of our specialities is to provide entirely bespoke menus for our clients, you can easily put together your own banquet by combining some of our best-loved dishes.

Kiera loved this idea and with her little boy’s 10th birthday just around the corner, she wasted no time in getting in touch with our team who were more than happy to help her design a menu. Catering for a group of 10 children and 15 adults, our Hog Roast Dyffryn Ardudwy catering manager was able to recommend a menu which consisted of homemade hot dogs, BBQ 100% beef handmade burgers, juicy gourmet sausages and spit-roasted BBQ pork butt. Sides of mixed fries, mac and cheese, Memphis style crunchy coleslaw and garden-fresh salads were also included along with crispy crackling, plenty of condiments and slices of refreshing fruits.

The party took place last Saturday afternoon and keeping in-line with the birthday boy’s chosen theme, each member of the Hog Roast Dyffryn Ardudwy catering crew donned a cowboy hat specially for the occasion. Kiera really appreciated this attention to detail, as did the children who were quick to pause their party games when the team announced the completion of the meal.

With lots of different flavours to choose from, the guests were spoiled for choice, and after devouring their first serving, they were eager to queue up for more.
