We hear a lot about HS2 in the news and what it may or may not mean for the country. Amongst all of the debate and discussion, it may be easy to forget the fine folks that are actually on the ground working extremely hard to get it done day in, day out.
At Hog Roast Shropshire we however were fortunate enough this past week to not only observe some of the vital work going on, but also contribute in our extremely small part by supporting the local HS2 workers in Shropshire with our energising catering. When you have the whole nation eagerly awaiting the completion of your work, you are going to need quite the hefty lunch indeed to make sure you can match to their high demands!
Luckily, when it is a hefty feast you need, Hog Roast Shropshire are the right caterer to turn to. Our corporate catering services are available to businesses all over the UK. It’s a service that is there to be utilised for businesses for this kind of exact scenario: hard workers that could do with a good reward and a lunch to help them carry on their immense work. Landscapers, construction firms, labour businesses, are often in regular contact with our team because they know that their work requires a lot of fuelling.
So, then, to support our HS2 workers based at the Kingsbury Site Compound here in Shropshire, we figured what better a lunch than a good old British barbecue! With spring just making itself known now, we reckoned now was the perfect time to bust out the barbecue equipment again and treat our HS2 workers to an excellent selection of the finest gourmet burgers, sausages, and marinated chicken thighs. Cooked all at once on our immense mobile roasting unit turned barbecue, we were able to keep the service going fast and efficiently (much like a high speed rail network) for all 150 guests. The burgers kept coming while the Hog Roast Shropshire team also prepped and served refreshing salad leaves, creamy slaw, roasted new potatoes, bread rolls and wraps, and a soft drink can for each guest.
