If there has been one positive thing that Hog Roast Wroxeter has taken from 2020, it has to be our newfound appreciation for the stunning views and locations in which our little village is surrounded. With all of our events these days taking place outside, our team has been able to enjoy the great outdoors a lot more than before, and most recently, we were invited along to the famously tranquil, Thistleford Bridge Campsite for Alison and Kevin’s wedding reception.
With a guest list of 30 people, the happy couple had been looking for a more laid-back style of catering to match their rustic themed ceremony – and we had just the thing! Our classic hog roast menu fit perfectly with the vibe the pair were hoping to create, and the Hog Roast Wroxeter catering manager, Dave was the ideal man to pull it off!
Alison and Kevin were so grateful to have Dave on hand to answer all of their questions about the menu, and after expressing some concerns that some of their guests might not be fans of pork, they were ecstatic when our team suggested adding chicken to the spread as an alternative. Knowing that everyone was going to be properly catered for, including vegetarians and vegans, took so much stress off the couple’s shoulders, which increased their excitement for the big day.
6:30 pm had been the agreed serving slot, so Hog Roast Wroxeter had made sure to arrive a handful of hours before then to prep the meal. Upon their arrival at the venue, which had been decorated with two white marquees, each one connected by streams of colourful bunting, the team made their way inside one to set up the cooking equipment. The HogMaster allowed them to effortlessly slow roast the meats, while they turned their focus to the meatless options of grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, and BBQ pulled jackfruit which were served with inclusive accompaniments of gluten-free rolls and wraps, homemade condiments and refreshing fruit.
The bride, groom and all their guests had a wonderful time in the sunshine and the food Hog Roast Wroxeter served, put a huge smile on everyone’s face!
