Nothing Complements A Comedy Night More Than A Tasty Hog Roast Ludlow Buffet

Dave and Joe, our extraordinary father and son-in-law duo, are the catering managers responsible for making Hog Roast Ludlow the success story that it is today!

Having spent several years delivering fresh and delicious group dining solutions to thousands of happy customers, clients and guests across the county, these two are well-equipped to handle any event or celebration that’s thrown their way. And since their reputation has become common knowledge among Shropshire residents near and far, the pair’s services are always in extremely high demand! Throughout the festive party season, they had been especially busy, catering to one event after the next, and on some occasions, they even had two events to manage on the same day!

Hog Roast Ludlow One of the most recent large-scale events they handled took place inside a comedy club in the city centre on the 15th of the month. Hog Roast Ludlow had been booked by the owner, Arthur, to serve a flavoursome menu to the 200 ticket holders, some of whom were vegetarian or vegan. Considering the needs of every single guest, Arthur ensured there was something on offer that was to everyone’s tastes by selecting our Southern Slow Roast Menu, which provides a buffet of three hearty meat options, a meatless alternative and a variety of sides too.

From the choices available, Arthur had selected fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs, pulled quarter or minted lamb, and Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens for the meat-lovers to indulge in. Meanwhile, veggies and vegans were offered our plant-based BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls with vegan coleslaw. The sides included mac and cheese, Greek salad, corn cobbettes dripping with warm melted vegan butter and a tray of regular and sweet potato fries.

Dave, Joe and the Hog Roast Ludlow team were on top form all evening. Having spent several hours slow-roasting the trio of meats until they were all moist, tender and packed full of flavour from our secret recipe rub, the ticket holders were in their element. The non-meat-eaters, too, were also highly impressed with the vegan-friendly choice, which put them in a great mood in time for the first act to perform their side-splitting set.
