Several months ago, Hog Roast Bishop’s Castle was hired to cater for a recruitment day taking place at a leisure centre this May. Peter owns several leisure centres across Shropshire and is preparing to open a new one, but he first needs to hire a brand new team of staff to work there. To streamline this process, he planned a recruitment day, which would allow all the applicants to attend the venue on the same day, be interviewed, complete a team task, and begin training if successful. To keep the applicants motivated on the day, Peter has hired Hog Roast Bishop’s Castle to provide a delicious BBQ to be enjoyed during the lunch break. Our catering managers Dave and Joe agreed that this menu would be ideal for the occasion and was sure to have plenty for every applicant to enjoy.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Bishop’s Castle team arrived at the venue in the morning and set up our catering station on an outdoor training court. We then got to work on preparing the meal while the applicants were undergoing their interviews. For the menu, we served pork sausages, British beef burgers, halloumi and vegetable skewers, marinated chicken kebabs, and BBQ spareribs. These dishes were served in fresh bread rolls and accompanied by homemade chips, corn cobettes, seasonal salad dishes, and gourmet coleslaw. Overall, our menu was incredibly varied and was the perfect lunch for enjoying during a busy day.
